Steel Strapping Sealers
Sealers for Steel Strapping
Providing a wide range of hand tools for the sealing of steel strapping, you can choose from one of our manual or pneumatic models. Offering battery tools for both steel sealing and tensioning the battery powered BPT and BST for steel strapping are ideal if you are looking for a battery operated alternative.
Our steel strapping sealers can be used for both front and side action sealing depending on the product being strapped, we have models designed for both requirements. Require seals and buckles for your strapping application? We also provide a range of seals and buckles for different strapping use cases.
Our steel sealers provide a positive sealing action with minimal operator effort, our manual tools are light and durable and will lock strap ends into a high strength joint. Signode pneumatic sealers let compressed air do most of the work.
They are used to achieve high production on heavy strapping, especially when seals are in awkward positions or whenever productivity must be maximized. Our pneumatic sealers come in two basic styles. Pistol grips are lightweight for easy one-hand operation. Diaphragm types for heavier-duty applications.

Signode Sealers
Joint Types
- Notchtype sealers cut into the seal and outer edges of the strapping, turning tabs down (down notch) or up (reverse notch).
- Crimp-type sealers press the edges of the strapping and seal into wavy crimps specially shaped to produce maximum frictional forces on the strapping.
Manual Sealers - Side and Front Action Sealers
The manual sealing tools are available for use with side and front action.
- The side-action sealer's lower handle can be rested on the flat surface of the unit being strapped. Operators can apply much of their weight with both hands on the upper handle. Generally for heavier strapping applications.
- Front-action sealer handles are held perpendicular to the strapping, usually in front of the operator who pushes the handles together close to the chest. Generally for light-duty strapping applications.
